This album has been a long time in coming, 14 years after we (Neil and Dylan) first met at a high school jazz festival in Southern Maine. Over that time we've explored a lot of music together in jazz combos, duo improvisations and the big Afro-Celtic Funk project Soulsha. It has been so exciting to come together and work on the music for this album, drawing on the traditional melodies that underpin Neil’s career as a traditional musician and infusing them with the free creativity of Dylan’s work in avant-garde jazz circles. Thanks for picking up a copy; we’re so happy to share it with you!
